Kisi Nazar Ko Ghazal from Aitbaar Translated and Explained

Kisi Nazar Ko – Translation of Bollywood Ghazal from Aitbaar

Meta Description:  Kisi Nazar Ko is a popular Bollywood ghazal from Aitbaar rendered by Bhupinder and Asha Bhosle. Enjoy the lyrical translation and the contextual explanation.

Setting the Background for Translating Kisi Nazar Ko

Kisi Nazar Ko is a ghazal from the 1985 film Aitbaar, an adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock's thriller Dial M for Murder. Before the events of the film, Neha (Dimple Kapadia) and Sagar (Suresh Oberoi) were deeply in love. Their relationship, however, ended when Neha was deceived into marrying Jaydeep (Raj Babbar), a man interested only in her wealth.

The song is performed during a ghazal recital by Sagar. Through Kisi Nazar Ko, he gives voice to his enduring longing for a love he has never been able to forget. Hearing the familiar voice from outside the venue, Neha is overwhelmed by memories and emotions from the past and rushes inside. As their eyes meet, Sagar stops singing and invites her to complete the ghazal. Neha takes up the melody, expressing the same undiminished love that still resides in her heart.

Unseen by them, Jaydeep has followed Neha and witnesses the reunion. He has been toying with getting his wife murdered, and this chance encounter strengthens his resolve to put a plan into action.

The Poetic English Translation of the Lyrics of Kisi Nazar Ko

Bhupinder

Someone is patiently waiting for you even today

Someone is patiently waiting for you even today

Where are you, my pining heart is askew even today

Someone is patiently waiting for you even today

Open spaces breezy valleys where we once used to meet

Open spaces breezy valleys where we once used to meet

My loyalty lies enshrined there its true even today

Someone is patiently waiting for you even today

I do not know why after seeing her again I felt

I do not know why after seeing her again I felt

She holds sway over me through and through even today

Someone is patiently waiting for you even today

Asha Bhosle

The love for which we had once forsaken the world

The love for which we had once forsaken the world

That love lies wounded in faith’s avenue even today

The love for which we had once forsaken the world

Bhupinder

I scarcely can believe but I get this feeling

I scarcely can believe but I get this feeling

Spring perhaps is searching for me anew even today

Someone is patiently waiting for you even today

Asha Bhosle

Don’t ask how many wounds this love has left behind

Don’t ask how many wounds this love has left behind

That in my heart sorrows still continue even today

The love for which we had once forsaken the world

That love lies wounded in faith’s avenue even today

Bhupinder

Someone is patiently waiting for you even today

Where are you, my pining heart is askew even today

Someone is patiently waiting for you even today

The Original Hindi Lyrics of Kisi Nazar Ko from Aitbaar

Bhupinder

Kisi nazar ko tera
Intezaar aaj bhi hai
Kisi nazar ko tera
Intezaar aaj bhi hai
Kahan ho tum ke
Ye dil bekaraar aaj bhi hai
Kisi nazar ko tera
Intezaar aaj bhi hai

Wo waadiyaan wo fizaayen
Ke hum mile the jahaan
Wo waadiyaan wo fizaayen
Ke hum mile the jahaan
Meri wafaa ka wahin
Par majaar aaj bhi hai
Kisi nazar ko tera
Intezaar aaj bhi hai

Na jaane dekh ke kyoon unko
Ye hua ehsaas
Na jaane dekh ke kyoon unko
Ye hua ehsaas
Ke mere dil pe unhe
Ikhtiyaar aaj bhi hai
Kisi nazar ko tera
Intezaar aaj bhi hai

Asha

Wo pyaar jis ke liye
Humane chhod di duniya
Wo pyaar jis ke liye
Humane chhod di duniya
Wafaa ki raah mein ghaayal
Wo pyaar aaj bhi hai
Wo pyaar jis ke liye
Humane chhod di duniya

Bhupinder

Yakin nahin hai magar
Aaj bhi ye lagata hai
Yakin nahin hai magar
Aaj bhi ye lagata hai
Meri talaash mein shaayad
Bahaar aaj bhi hai
Kisi nazar ko tera
Intezaar aaj bhi hai

Asha

Na poochh kitne mohabbat ke
Zakhm khaaye hain
Na poochh kitne mohabbat ke
Zakhm khaaye hai
Ke jinko soch ke dil
Sogavaar aaj bhi hai
Woh pyaar jis ke liye
Humne chhod di duniya
Wafa ke raah mein gaayal
Wo pyaar aaj bhi hai

Bhupinder

Kisi nazar ko tera
Intezaar aaj bhi hai
Kahan ho tum ke ye
Dil bekaraar aaj bhi hai
Kisi nazar ko tera
Intezaar aaj bhi hai

The Literal English Translation of the Lyrics of Kisi Nazar Ko

Someone’s gaze is waiting for you even today

Where are you that my heart is restless even today

Those valleys those places where we had met

The shrined grave of my loyalty is there even today

I don’t know why on seeing her I felt like this

That she has a right on my heart even today

That love for which we had left the world

That love lies wounded on fidelity’s lane even today

It is difficult to believe but I still feel like this

That spring is perhaps searching for me even today

Don’t ask how many wounds I have received in love

That thinking about them my heart is in mourning even today
