Poetic Translation of Gehra Hua from Ranvir Singh Dhurandhar

Gehra Hua – Poetic Translation of Arijit Singh Hit Song

Meta Description:  Gehra Hua is a hit song by Arijit Singh from Ranvir Singh blockbuster Dhurandhar. The star cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt.

Setting the Background for Translating Gehra Hua

Dhurandhar is a high-octane spy thriller with Ranveer Singh in the lead as Hamza Ali Mazari. A subtle romantic thread between Hamza and Yalina (played by Sara Arjun), running parallel to the main narrative, offers brief moments of tenderness amid the relentless action. Gehra Hua, in particular, reveals Hamza’s emotional side, effectively counterbalancing his otherwise relentless, no-nonsense persona shaped by a world where lives are expendable.

Translating Dariya Dua and Palkein Jhapakta Hai Aasamaan

Dariya” is ocean. As an adjective it usually implies the boundlessness of the ocean, as in dariya dil, which means large hearted. I have translated dariya as “boundless”.

“Palak jhapakana” is an idiom that means “in the blink of an eye.” There does not appear to be any contextual meaning in the song. It has probably been used to maintain the rhyme. I have translated this as “Even the heavens have become emotive”, implying that the skies reflect the hero’s emotional state. If anyone has any suggestion, please comment.

The Poetic English Translation of the Lyrics of Gehra Hua

If you are all mine, the soaring winds are yours

If you are all mine, yours is the earth’s concourse

If you are all mine, I am all yours

If you are all mine, yours is this radiance too

If you are all mine, I’ll give my heart to you

If you are all mine, I am all yours

Your passion is an uprising of untamed blaze

My world is a serene dream in your arms’ embrace

Grown so deep, grown so deep

Colours of love grown so deep

Grown so deep, grown so deep

Boundless blessings, grown so deep

They’re yours to keep

If you are all mine, the soaring winds are yours

If you are all mine, yours is the earth’s concourse

If you are all mine, I am all yours

Even the heavens have become emotive

Thousand angels find you seductive

They keep asking where do you live

That you dwell in my arms to them you must say

Even the heavens have become emotive

They’ve not seen someone so attractive

With you the ambience turns so festive

I pray that forever in my arms you stay

If you are all mine, you’re the talk of the town

If you are all mine, to you the world bows down

If you are all mine, I am all yours

Your passion is an uprising of untamed blaze

My world is a serene dream in your arms’ embrace

Grown so deep, grown so deep

Colours of love grown so deep

They’re yours to keep

If you are all mine, the soaring winds are yours

If you are all mine, yours is the earth’s concourse

If you are all mine, I am all yours

I want to revel in your burning desire

Yet want to hold back from the heat of your fire

Lift my longing one measure higher

Change me forever paint me with your vibrant hue

You are a moon that pulsates with light

Tracking me furtively through the quiet night

Shine on my heart with your radiance bright

The path to paradise opens only through you

If you are all mine, the soaring winds are yours

If you are all mine, yours is the earth’s concourse

If you are all mine, I am all yours

Your passion is an uprising of untamed blaze

My world is a serene dream in your arms’ embrace

Grown so deep, grown so deep

Colours of love grown so deep

Grown so deep, grown so deep

Boundless blessings, grown so deep

The Original Hindi Lyrics of Gehra Hua from Dhurandhar

Tu agar meri ye hawayein teri
Tu agar meri saari rahein teri
Tu agar meri main hun tera
Tu agar meri ye ujale tere
Tu agar meri dil hawale tere
Tu agar meri main hun tera

Betaab sa mohabbat ka tu inklab hai
Mera jahaaan teri bahon mein khwaab khwaab hai

Gehra hua gehra hua
Rang aashiqi gehra hua
Gehra hua gehra hua
Dariya dua gehra hua
Tera hua

Tu agar meri ye hawayein teri
Tu agar meri sari rahein teri
Tu agar meri main hun tera

Palkein jhapakta hai aasamaan
Laakhon farishton ki hai tu jaan
Wo puchte hai rehti kahaan?
Meri bahon mein rehti unko bata

Palkein jhapakti hai aasama
Usne bhi tujh sa dekha kahan?
Hai raunake waha tu hai jahaan
Meri baah mein rehna yahi hai dua

Tu agar meri hai fasaana tera
Tu agar meri toh zamaana tera
Tu agar meri main hun tera

Betaab sa mohabbat ka tu inklab hai
Mera jahan teri bahon mein khwaab khwaab hai

Gehra hua gehra hua
Rang aashiqi gehra hua
Gehra hua gehra hua
Dariya dua gehra hua
Tera hua

Tu agar meri ye hawayein teri
Tu agar meri sari rahein teri
Tu agar meri mai hun tera

Teri mohabbat mai jalna bhi hai
Aur tujhse bach ke hi chalna bhi hai
Kuch rang apna badalna bhi hai
Maine dhalna tere rang mein hai sada

Tu chand hai ek dhadakta huaa
Chori se mujhko hi takta huaa
Seene se lag ke chamakta huaa
Meri jannat ka rasta tu hi tu hua

Tu agar meri ye hawayein teri
Tu agar meri saari rahein teri
Tu agar meri main hoon tera

Betaab sa mohabbat ka tu inklab hai
Mera jahan teri bahon mein khwaab khwaab hai

Gehra hua gehra hua
Rang aashiqi gehra hua
Gehra hua gehra hua
Dariya dua gehra hua

The Literal English Translation of the Lyrics of Gehra Hua

If you are mine, these breezes are yours

If you are mine, all paths are yours

If you are mine, I am yours

If you are mine, this lustre is yours

If you are mine, my heart is yours

If you are mine, I am yours

You are a restless rebellion of love

My world is a dream in your arms

Has become deep

The colour of love has become deep

Has become deep

Boundless blessings have become deep

Has become yours

The sky blinks its eyelids

You are the life of lakhs of angels

They ask where do you reside

Tell them that you stay in my arms

The sky blinks its eyelids

Even he has not seen anyone like you

Wherever you are there is glamour

Remain in my arms this is my prayer

If you are mine, the story is yours

If you are mine, then this era is yours

If you are mine, I am yours

I even want to burn in your love

And want to walk away safely from you

I want to change a bit of myself

I want to become like you forever

You are a pulsating moon

Furtively ogling at me

Shining close to my heart

Only you have become the path to my paradise

Jaane Woh Kaise Lyrics from Pyaasa Translated and Explained

Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke: Poetic Translation and Lyrics

Meta Description:  Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke is a Bollywood classic song from Guru Dutt’s Pyaasa.  Enjoy the poetic translation of this Hemant Kumar Sahir Ludhianvi combine.

Setting the Background for Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke

The protagonist Vijay (Guru Dutt) is an idealistic poet whose work is repeatedly rejected by publishers, leaving him without income or recognition. He eventually accepts employment from a wealthy publisher, Ghosh (Rehman), who asks him to serve drinks at a party he is hosting at his home. There, Vijay is stunned to discover that his former college love, Meena (Mala Sinha), has married Ghosh, choosing financial stability over a life of struggle with him.

Wounded by this revelation, Vijay spontaneously pours his anguish into the haunting song Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke. As he sings before the assembled guests, Meena retreats into solitude, silently weeping. The song becomes Vijay’s raw expression of heartbreak and betrayal, a lament for how genuine love like his is cast aside while others seem to thrive in the illusion of comfort. Despite his pain, Vijay vows to suffer quietly rather than disrupt Meena’s marriage. Yet this moment marks a turning point, plunging him into a deeper disillusionment with the world and its values.

The English Translation of the Lyrics of Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke

Who were those people whose pure love was requited whenever sought?

Yet when I yearned for fresh rosebuds, sharp thorns were all I got.

Who were those people whose pure love was requited whenever sought?

I searched for the heights of joy but received grief untold

I searched for the heights of joy but received grief untold

I desired warm songs of love but got a rebuff cold

Friends who tried to console only deepened my ache a lot;

Yet when I yearned for fresh rosebuds, sharp thorns were all I got.

Who were those people whose pure love was requited whenever sought?

Every friend has, every friend has

Every friend has parted after moments of amity

Who has the time to engage with a romantic like me

Even my faithful shadow wanders weary and distraught

Yet when I yearned for fresh rosebuds, sharp thorns were all I got.

Who were those people whose pure love was requited whenever sought?

If this is what they call life then this way I will live

If this is what they call life then this way I will live

Without complaining, silently with tears that are captive

So why should I now fear heartbreak, pain is my mascot.

Yet when I yearned for fresh rosebuds, sharp thorns were all I got.

Who were those people whose pure love was requited whenever sought?

The Original Hindi Lyrics of Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke  from Pyaasa

Jaane woh kaise log the jinke pyar ko pyar mila
Humne toh jab kaliyan maangi kaanto ka haar mila
Jaane woh kaise log the jinke pyar ko pyar mila

Khushiyon ki manzil dhoondhi toh gham ki gard mili
Khushiyon ki manzil dhoondhi toh gham ki gard mili
Chahat ke nagme chahe toh aahein sard mili
Dil ke bhoj ko duna kar gaya joh ghamsaar mila
Humne toh jab kaliyan maangi kaanto ka haar mila
Jaane woh kaise log the jinke pyar ko pyar mila

Bichad gaya, bichad gaya
Bichad gaya har saathi dekar pal do pal ka saath
Kisko fursat hai joh thaame deewano ka haath
Humko apna saaya tak aksar bezaar mila
Humne toh jab kaliyan maangi kaanto ka haar mila
Jaane woh kaise log the jinke pyar ko pyar mila

Isko hi jeena kehte hai toh yoon hi jee lenge
Isko hi jeena kehte hai toh yoon hi jee lenge
Uff na karenge lab si lenge aansun pee lenge
Gham se ab ghabrana kaisa gham sau baar mila
Humne toh jab kaliyan maangi kaanto ka haar mila
Jaane woh kaise log the jinke pyar ko pyar mila

Meanings of difficult Urdu words

The Literal English Translation of the Lyrics of Jaane Woh Kaaise Log The Jinke

Don’t know what kind of people were they whose love was responded with love
But when I asked for flower buds, I received a garland of thorns

I searched for happiness as my destination, but received the dust of grief

I desired songs of desire but received a cold rebuff
Every sympathiser I met doubled the burden of my heart

Every companion parted way after a few seconds of company
Who has the time to hold the hands of a romantic
I often find that even my shadow has become weary

If you call this a life then I will live it this way
Will not complain, remain silent, swallow my tears
Now why should I fear grief, I have received it a hundred times
