The Poetic English Translation of the Lyrics of Oo Bolega
If she is wearing a saari
He will ogle without fear
If a miniskirt she has
Then he will boldly leer
Forget saari and skirt
It does not matter one jot
Filthy glances filthy thoughts
Man is round bottomed pot
Yes he will say or
No no he will say dumbass
Yes he will say or
No no he will say dumbass
Lips will start salivating
When he sees a fair one’s face
Dusky girls he will tease
Force them in his arms embrace
Black or white it doesn’t matter
So very deep has set the rot
Only sex at any pretext
Man is round bottomed pot
Yes he will say or
No no he will say dumbass
Yes he will say or
No no he will say dumbass
Long legged sexy beauties
They make his heartbeat swell
But if he sees a short one
He will stalk her as well
She may be long or be short
He won’t spare a second thought
If she’s married, he’s not worried
Man is round bottomed pot
Yes he will say or
No no he will say dumbass
Yes he will say or
No no he will say dumbass
If they are curvy and svelte
Prime goods is what he calls them
The ones that are thin and frail
Are compared to a rose stem
Be they fat or be they thin
Both types are equally sought
Find them alone and take them home
Man is round bottomed pot
Yes he will say or
No no he will say dumbass
Yes he will say or
No no he will say dumbass
Posing as a sugar daddy
Sometimes he tries to assert
Sometimes as an ardent lover
He will shamelessly flirt
Whatever their strategy
They all come from the same lot
Lights off and in the darkness
Lights off and in the darkness
Man is round bottomed pot
Yes he will say or
No no he will say dumbass
Yes he will say lass (chorus)
Yes he will not say lass (chorus)
Yes he will say or
No no he will say dumbass
Yes he will say lass (chorus)
Yes he will not say lass (chorus)
Yes he will say or
The Original Hindi Lyrics of Oo Bolega from Pushpa The Rise
Saari saari pahan ke saari
Aaye to usko ghoore
Chhote chhote skirt bhi jo
Pahan ke aaye to ghoore
Chhod saari chhod skirt
In kapadon se kya hota
Nazare gandi soch gandi
Mard hai bin pendi lota
Oo bolega ya
Oo oo bolega sala
Oo bolega ya
Oo oo bolega sala
Gore gore mukhde pe
Taiyaar koi marne ko
Sanvli ko chhede
Baahon mein aa jaaye bharne ko
Kaale gore se kya matlab
Madhu mile ya phir mattha
Ek hi ratta dekh dupatta
Mard hai bin pendi lota
Oo bolega ya
Oo oo bolega sala
Oo bolega ya
Oo oo bolega sala
Lambi lambi tang wali
Chhokri ka deewana
Chhoti naati ladkiyon ko
Daalta hai wo daana
Lambi ho ya naati sab ko
Bahela ke isne loota
Chaat lega pattal jootha
Mard hai bin pendi lota
Oo bolega ya
Oo oo bolega sala
Oo bolega ya
Oo oo bolega sala
Phoole phoole gaal pe
Koi bole kya dikhti hai
Dubli patli ho to phir
Gulab ki daali lagti hai
Moti ho ya patli sab ke
Darwaze pe hai adda
Dekh akeli dale phanda
Mard hai bin pendi lota
Oo bolega ya
Oo oo bolega sala
Oo bolega ya
Oo oo bolega sala
Joothi joothi shaan pe koi
Apana rob dikhata hai
Koi ban ke dilwala tere
Dil se khel ke jaata hai
Ek hi thali ke
Ye dono hai re chatte batte
Batti gul chhaya andhera
Batti gul chhaya andhera
Mard hai bin pendi lota
Oo bolega ya
Oo oo bolega sala
Oo bolega bala
oo na boega bala
Oo bolega ya
Oo oo bolega sala
Oo bolega bala
Oo oo na bolega bala
Oo bolega ya
Explanation of the Lyrics of Oo Bolega
Explanation of Bin Pendi Lota
Pendi means flat bottomed, so bin pendi would mean without flat bottom, or round bottomed. Just as a round bottomed pot would be unstable and roll in all directions, men are wayward as far as attraction to women is concerned. This is the essence of the song.
Explanation of the Chorus
According to verbal enunciation,
particularly in India, “oo” stands for yes and “oo oo” stands for no. The
dancer is asking whether men will say yes or say no. In the context of the
content of the main verses, the question of men saying no does not arise and
therefore the chorus must be interpreted in a special manner.
The kind of men described in this song prey
on weak women. If they are confronted by a girl who is bold, then they will
back off. The dancer is in effect asking the men whether they will mete out the
same treatment to her as they do to weaker women. The question is rhetorical and
the obvious answer is they will not.
