When Amit (Amitabh Bachchan) regrets that he cannot marry Chandni, she had resolved to remove him from her life. But when she sees Amit again years later, she realises that her love for him has not been erased. Both Chandni and Amit are married to others at this time and their refuelled romance not acceptable to society.
