This song marks their attempt to rediscover and relive the magic they once had — to steal back the joy, laughter, and intimacy that brought them together in the first place. There is another reason for the extension Phir Se. The song is a recreation of Chor Bazari from Love Aaj Kal.

 

The film, Bhool Chuk Maaf (Forgive My Mistakes), is a romantic comedy with a science fiction twist, releasing on May 16, 2025. Given the genre blend, it is hard to predict exactly how the song will unfold on screen — but emotionally, it seems to promise a return to playful, rebellious love.

Leen = Absorbed

Shaadi wali milti lakeer apni = Our marriage lines match

Surma = Kohl

Ajeeb = Strange (I have translated it as capable of springing a surprise)

Saleeb = Cross (I have translated is sacrifice)

Khara = Bitter (I have translated it as spicy)

Paaniyon pe behte chirag = Like a lamp floating on water (Since I could not think of a suitable translation, I have used “hymn from a choir”)

Thandi hoti ankkhiyan = To be at peace

Mohaal = Impossible

Rang meri mehndi ka laal hona = The colour of the henna turning bright reddish (The bride applies henna so that it is at its brightest during the wedding ceremony)
